In his show 'VivienneAndreas', artist Wayne Hanson presents a series of portraits, originally taken for GQ magazine, celebrating the late Dame Vivienne Westwood as she was honoured with the Game Changer Award at the 2021 GQ Men of the Year Awards. Featuring both Westwood and her husband, creative director Andreas Kronthaler, the portraits capture their fearless authenticity and creative spirit. Through these images, Hanson celebrates the iconic duo’s unique worldview and their enduring influence on fashion and culture.

Hanson’s commission comes with an intriguing backstory - he was discovered by a Westwood creative director on Instagram in early 2021, leading to a negotiated shoot with Dame Vivienne and Andreas.

Born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, Hanson has spent over 25 years in the top tier of the advertising industry. He has lived and worked in various cities, including London, Stockholm, San Francisco, and New York. Throughout this journey, he worked as an art director alongside many recognised photographers, all the while capturing moments through his own lens.

Hanson's achievements include the Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize 2024 Shortlist, Portrait of Britain 2019, Portrait of Humanity 2022 Shortlist. Wayne’s pictures have appeared globally in Vogue (UK, French, Greek, Hong Kong), ID, Dazed, Document and 10 Magazine.
